M'tzora - Self Cleanliness and Rebuilding Oneself

 Shabbat April 4 & 5, 2014   Nisan 4 & 5, 5774   Leviticus 14:1 - 15:3

A woman, or a man who is unclean, is in need of cleansing, according to G-d and is detailed in this Torah portion, and this is what speaks to me.

I have a twist on this......Can one emit one's impurities of self and cleanse him/herself?  Yes; a ritual cleansing; a cleaning of oneself!   Admission of one's truths, one's needs, one's own impurities, one's fears of oneself.

Does a person's admission and realization have true meaning when he/she reaches out to G-d,because he/she feels imperfection?   We all are imperfect, but it is in this very manner that we are able GROW, and it is this manner that we must entrust in G-d,and cleanse ourselves and rebuild our spirits and our soul.

At times we may feel alone.  We may feel that we are lost.   We may deviate.  What path may we walk is a choice that may be not so easy at times, and even lead us to our own impurities, but the path we choose to walk when we entrust G-d and turn 'it' over, and cleanse our soul, is the proverbial path that will truly have such positive impact, and a true spiritual growth!  What a reward and true gift to self.

This reminds me of a short story.  A friend reaches out to another friend and says, 'I am in need of some assistance and seeking it,and going to make amends!'   The man takes steps and does what he has promised, step by step.  Not always easy, but he does it and with such enthusiasm and with true conviction.  He walks slowly, but not on such a solid foundation at times,as there is doubt obviously.  At this moment, the friend said to the man that had turned to him, 'Entrust G-d,and turn it over, and cleanse yourself, and have true and honest belief! '    The man smiled, and thought......, hmmm.
He needed NOT just talk the talk, but he needed to walk the walk and have a true cleansing of self and of his own garbage,& have honest admission, and reach out!  The man did indeed reach out, cleansed himself, had honest admission, and allowed G-d to drive.  The man was on the correct path and his cleansing has lead him to many GREAT paths ahead.

-Amen-
