As I was studying Hebrew this week and a few prayers(in Hebrew), I did 'better' than I expected, but then again, we are our own harshest critic! My first attempt, I thought, "Hhhmmmm, let's just belt it out and try!" I belted it out and it actually sounded fairly solid for a guy who last studied Hebrew about 40 years ago.
I read a little today for my Rabbi instructor; He thought I did 'very well', especially for a person who is really re-familiarizing himself again after many years of no daily studying. His comments made me feel good, really good and instilled confidence, and isn't that what every student needs from their teacher?
It is a process and repetition obviously helps to make it habit!
One step at a time , day by day, with a certain focus will help me take this walk successfully.
